CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS FOR ASIAN FESTIVAL OF CHILDREN'S CONTENT
Genre:
Literary Arts
The Asian Festival of Children’s Content (26th to 29th May 2012, at The Arts House) offers a unique occasion to meet, interact and network with acclaimed writers, publishers, illustrators and editors who produce Asian content for children. They include international publishing professionals such as Leonard Marcus, Sarah Odedina and Nury Vittachi, as well as local writers Adeline Foo, David Seow and Shamini Flint. In addition to exhibitions, book launches and panels, other highlights at this year’s festival include a focus on the writers and illustrators from the Philippines, workshops in Chinese, Malay and Tamil and a Media Mart and Rights Fair.
The Arts House is therefore looking for cheerful, committed and responsible volunteers to help run the programme. As a volunteer, you will receive:
- Free admission to all programmes, all of which feature international, regional and local publishing and writing professionals
- Meals on the day you volunteer
- A letter of appreciation from the National Book Development Council of Singapore
- Invaluable experience in managing literary events
To sign up as a volunteer, please send an e-mail with the subject title “Volunteer” to razak@toph.com.sg! Please do include your name and contact number.
