A pre-festival event of the Singapore Writers Festival

Fictional characters spring to life as the new season of Utter 《优剧》 features a double bill of Chinese and English short plays adapted from works by local literati, Yeng Pway Ngon and O Thiam Chin. The plays imagine the encounter between the characters and their creator, as an intimate dialogue about love, fear, betrayed ideals and fantastical animals ensues.

Utter is a Singapore Writers Festival project that seeks to adapt the best of Singapore writing into different art forms like theatre and film.
